Upper GI Surgery
Upper GI surgery is a subspecialty of general surgery which involves the diagnosis and management of conditions affecting the oesophagus, stomach, liver, gallbladder, spleen and pancreas.
This type of surgery is mostly performed using minimally invasive (laparoscopic) techniques. Common Upper GI Surgical Procedures include:
Gallbladder surgery (cholecystectomy)
Anti-reflux and hiatus hernia surgery
